Pirates Cove Reef
My new Lemar 100x36x25 will be ready to pick up on April 26th, 3/4" glass and it is going to be heavy and a tall lift as my stand is 46" tall. The stand has 2"x6" main rails with 3"x2" cross braces and is sitting on four 4" square 3/16th wall posts that will anchor in to the concrete. The tank will have a 9" counter and backsplash made of granite so you will be able to stand on it to service the tank.
I am going to see just how many friends I have in the Reefing community as I am going to need help lifting the tank on Saturday April 30th, so let me know if you are available. They estimate the tank at 700lb so I need a bunch of help. I am going to try and rent a ton of suction cups along with some muscle to get it in to place.
Any ideas who I might be able to rent several pairs of suction cups from
The stand is at Powder Coat getting a rustic Bronze finish and I will start installing it early next week so I am ready.
I am so ready for the new Tank!
The company who built it CalTime Metals in Huntington Beach say that under the stand is the place to be when the Big one hits So Cal, do you guys think it is heavy duty enough?
I am getting closer on having a big tank
