start of a new adventure 265gal starphire

what do you mean by the tank get level?it's on the stand and the stand is on the floor. Or you mean I need to push the tank into the final place before I fill the water. Darnnnn I forgot so you need to help me to push it in with water in it haha:-)

Yes Jonathan I wrap the flex pvc since it's look dirty with white color.

Really well done! I really like your AC3 mount. How is your overflow done? I see a box with a bulkhead but not sure how it works. Keep the pictures coming :)

thanks richard.
I don't want alot of flow through my sum so I design a small over flow box. The bulk head in the middle is the return but I have 2 1.5'' drain drill in the back of the over flow.

LOL at pushing that tank with water. :)

When he means level he means making sure the tank is not tilted to one side because it will put more stress on one side of the tank and have the level of the water higher than the other side. just because your eyes may see a floor thats flat, may not mean its leveled properly especially if its concrete. You can use a leveler from Lowes or Home Depot. They are very cheap.

that's not level dude. cement floors rarely are. this is extremely important with glass tanks as you may void your warranty if it is not installed correctly.

I agree with Jon... That is not level... Put on your old man glasses and look again hehehehe. I will stop by tonight to check it out....

Very nice progress thus far. I love the Neptune mount and the fact that you'll be running 2 skimmers for redundancy. As has been stated, you'll need to level the tank better. This will probably require some shims beneath the stand. If I were you I wouldn't do anything else until that's accomplished. Oh, and sorry if I scared you away from using an OM 4-way. Now that mine is dialed in and 'settled' it's working like a charm.

well after come back with a pair of glass and some shims the tank is level and yeahhhhhhhh no leak.....:-)

That looks awesome! I agree that starting with the open and clean aquascape is the best thing about a big tank.

For those of you who keep the back pane of the tank bare, what is the best way to scrape the glass? Assuming, you cant get your arm back there to use a magnet.

Great work Anthony :D . Hard work paid off at the end... I am sorry for not having the time to help. IMO, aquascape is a one man job and it is all about personal reference. As a matter of fact, i want to be like you when i growth up :D

Clean aquascape. Just how I like it :) You have a lot of corals already.

wow I didn't know that I have that much of corals in my old 150gal tank.....:-) sweet I don't have to spend anymore money. A school of lyretail and a pair of crosshatch trigger are coming and that's it.
