Well at least your girlfriend can rectify the situation that may or may not have been caused by a curse that may or may not be passed on to anything she buys...
Well I guess the verdict is still out on what could have messed that clam up, but I'm still thinking it was the whelks. Of course my opinion isn't much when compared to the opinions of the clam experts.
Hopefully you can pinpoint what it was (girlfriend curse) and if it wasn't the fault of Blue Zoo Aquatics (who seemingly still sent you the wrong type of nassarius snails) than their name can be taken off of the clubhouse blacklist.
Did you have two clams or was it just the one?
We made a rule today that she isn't allowed to purchase anything on her own anymore...
We'll see what happens with Blue Zoo... I didn't have time to type the letter tonight, so I'll have to do it tomorrow. I certainly don't want to blacklist anyone.
I also think it was the whelks, just based on the condition of the clam after I moved it to the substrate. It opened up very nicely and seemed quite happy... then BOOM... 24hrs later... gonzo.
We'll see if I go after another clam with the credit money or not, supposably the LFS she bought it from has had a great livestock selection, and has redone the store since the last time I was home... So I may need to make a trip home to check it out.
I just had the one small crocea clam.
Next purchase, as soon as I talk to Blue Zoo and get this situation resolved, will be the Super Tongan Nassarius Snails... no mistaken ID there. The resolution will just dictate where I place my next order, and if it's online it will be more than just snails... I need to spread out that shipping cost
Plus my QT tank has been lonely the past few weeks
