TJ, Like you suggested I am going to index the Show off your Tangs thread when it splits. They will be organized into 4 families ( dang, only if we had another genus  ). And I will put the families into slideshows. ;)

excellent idea Kar--go for it:thumbsup:

Picked up the ATO Unit, and met up with a bunch of guys from C-SEA tonight at RC member itZme's house for some DIY food making.

I'll wait to see if anyone posts pictures or descriptions from it, before trying to explain everything that was added into the food mix.

Here's the ATO unit I picked up:

I live in the UK unfortunately.

Don't tell me you'll move to Beirut if you have the chance;)

Here is a suprise for you..............Its raining

Not really a surprise I spend a lot of time in Europe and am quite used to having it rain one day and be sunny in the afternoon. Still on my first trips I was so used to "the four separate seasons" we have here that It was very weird to see it rain in Aug for ex. Was in Switzerland last week and it did rain for 3 days too.

Good Idea on indexing the show off your tangs thread especially the slideshows. but that is going to take some time.

How do anemone's get along with other anemone's

Thanks for posting this TJ I am interested in setting one up also.
How does the automatic top up fit in with the water system. Does it control a pump from the water storage etc

Thats exactly what they do. With the way your system is set up having most of your equipment in the basement why dont you get me to build you one like I have with the gravity feed system. I have most everything we need except the float valve which we can pick up for less that 10 bucks at Home Depot unless you want the Kent one from Mops.

nice addition swift, congrats
Thanks, He retreated back in the rock this morning. I figure it may take a little while for him to get comfortable and extend out into the open.

TJ can you re post how you post pictures horizontally rather then vertically--just can't get the hang of it
You just copy and paste the code into the post back to back.

Thanks.

I'm not sure about the compatibility of anemone's with one another. I've seen tanks with multiple BTAs in them though.

RC Mod "Anemone" had a tank of the month a few years back that was completely RBTA dominated. If I remember correctly there was some good information in the article on anemones also.

There are a few different ways I can set this up. The more float switches, the crazier you can get.

I intend to hook it up to a 34 or 44 gallon brute RO/DI water container, which will be housed in a closet which will empty directly into the sump.

Both float switches will be housed in the sump also. The float switches that came with the unit can be reversed. So I will have one float switch to control when to add water to the tank. The other will be placed higher in the sump and reversed. This way if the lower switch would become stuck on, then the higher float switch would signal to shut the pump off before the sump overflowed.

Another way, which I may setup in the future...

I can house one float switch in the sump. This will control when to add water to the sump, and keep the water level constant.

Then use a smaller ATO container within my stand (5 gallons or so) and install the second float switch in this container, which in turn would be fed from the large reservoir.

Make sense

I'm going to go with the first setup for now though.

That's the easiest system to put together. I actually was planning on a gravity feed system with a float valve initially. It only cost like $15 all together.

I just had some concerns about it failing, because it would be hooked to a large reservoir in my living room.

If I had my sump in my basement though, I probably would have given it a shot.

When I added my RBTA she did the same thing. She would go into the rocks at lights out and reappear when the lights came back on. She did that for about a week and then must have felt secure enough to stay out full time.
After a month she split and now I have two side by side.
