Starting a 240 Gal Cube Tank

Lunchbucket - I've heard the same things about ich, and I know I've had fish in the past with it, but never as severe as this time.
xinumaster - Thanks.
Waxxiemann - My lights are not directly over the eurobracing, the acrylic closest to the lights is pretty cool, barely warm.

My coral beauty starting to get ich. I just bought it 2 weeks ago. She's in the 29g tank right night which I was planning to setup as a softies tank with fish only. The tank is 2 months old but the sw came from a 8year old tank. It looks like my dottyback in that same tank has some white powder spots too. I'm gonna try to threat this tank with hyposalinity and see if it will fix it. There is no other livestock in this tank.

The age of the tank the water came from is irrelevant, its how old the rockwork in the new tank is that counts.

I got my tank stand and canopy put on today and I am amazed at the difference it makes in the look of the tank. woodwrangler (Scott) built it and he did an amazing job, the wood is Curly Alder (looks a lot like curly maple but cheaper) All the doors are flush mount with magnetic push to shut & release. Scott spent a good 2+ hours installing it around all of my equipment and mess of wires and pipes. My wife was amazed and very happy with the finished product. Thanks again Scott :)

Awww... gosh... now thats just purdy... Thats got to be the best looking stand and canopy I have ever seen, and Im not really into the decorative/classic all-wook look (I like the gloss coated euro / flat plank look myself), but that still has to be one of the nicest Ive seen...

Thanks drifty and hahnmesiter! Scott told me people would compliment the stand and canopy more than my tank and I think he's right!

WOW!!!! :popeye:

Thats just beautiful. I especially like the large doors on all three sides for excellent access and the flush mounted reefkeeper is a nice touch too.

I'm really pleased with how this turned out Chet, I hope you and your wife are happy. You have a beautiful looking tank/setup, and I thought you needed an equally stunning bit of woodwork to surround it. Thanks for the opportunity.
Now take a break and sit back to enjoy the tank for a while.

ReefWaters - Thanks, the front of the canopy actually comes off too. So I have total access to the rockwork. The neatest thing is I didn't ask for any of that, Scott just built it that way :)

hdtvguy - Thanks, I know I was impressed. How are all your fish doing?

They are doing good thanks. I did loose a few from a top-off malfunction. But the rest pulled through. Did you see my latest addition to the tank 17"+ Sohal?
