What the heck is wrong with them?

Ben has 7 interceptions and ZERO TD's this season!!!!

If they lose this one we are in deep danger of missing the playoffs....

Could they be soft now or satisfied with last year's superbowl win??

No Leadership....

Ben can't see strait.

Cower is on his way to the Carolinas.

Heinz and Parker got their money---They can coast now.

:D

i have said it from day 1.
ben = kordell
kordell was supposed to be the 2nd coming, im 100% positive batch could have takin ya all the way last year. you had a rock solid team last year and a qb that wasnt the best player on the team.

im not by anymeans talkin trash on them either. just my observations.
but what do i know im a cowboy fan stuck in PA

I am a cowboys fan too... I do root for the steelres as long as they are not playing Dallas :)

Ben did ok for 2 seasons and if things had not changed may have matured into a great QB. It appears that he has had a "life changing" experience and that has changed his off the field attitude and persona. This has also appeared to change him on the field.

A lot of things are changing... I have seen Troy P. get take more cheap shots with every passing game (instead of just playing the ball like he used to). I also dont think Cower has ever been a great coach. With the talent he has had over the years he should have won 3 superbowls. The guy sticks with bad decisions toooooo long.

The loss last nite was at the hands of jamel williams... the guy is a fireplug and brutalized the steelers front 4 EVERY PLAY. I don't think I saw them run him over 1 time. If you have ZERO option up the middle and a QB that is a bit rusty, that leaves you with the ends, which the chargers loaded up almost every play, forcing the play series to lean heavily towards the passes by a rusty QB or try bootlegs and screens.

They are going to have to win 8 straight at this point to get into the show.

Like I said - Ben cannot come back this fast, maybe ever, from running face first into a car at 35plus MPH. There is just too much neurological/joint/ muscle damage to the neck/spine area. Many people would have been paralized or dead. He may be "alright" for normal life, but that does not mean that he has the reflexes, strength, etc. that it takes to be a good quarterback in the NFL at this time or possible ever again. Sorry for being a "realist" , but it is -what it is. Hey, they are still very entertaining and it was a good game. I think the Chargers have a really good team that will make it to at least the second round of the playoffs. Ben looked much better than he did the week before, so there is hope for a full recovery. Ward and Troy P. are still both hurting and not 100% either.

I have heard from a few people that "know"... that ben may have some permantent disability to the nogen due to the faceplant. When you brain gets a knock that hard, it can cause some permanent damage.

Acer... we will see you at the next 2 meetings right!

I hope so- life has been "difficult" - had to go to Ohio last weekend for a family matter - so missed the meeting, and had to miss the frag swap too. OH well- family is important right??!! But wow- missing a frag swap for "family" is really getting crazy- just over kill dont you think.....

Sure ben is not the Ben we expect, but he really didn't perform very well teh last 2 games of last season either. I think he's hit his 2nd year slump a bit late.

However, a big big change I see in the Steelers this year is that they are just not playing with any emotion, and I think that has everything to do with the coaching leadership on and off the field. If you've heard/seen any of Cowher's interviews he seems much more laid back than he's been in the past. And his body language on the field is not at all what Steelers fans have come to expect. There is just no emotion there at all.

i dont care what ne1 says about the steelers they are my team.
i"m a hardcore fan i will love them the same even if they dont win a game all season or for a few seasons either

i just hate those so called "fake fans"
what i mean is
they love the steelers and are praising them when they are winning but cut them down and say they suck when they are loosing
i dont think they have a shot at the superbowl or even the playoffs let alone winning there division
but i will watch every game and cheer for them every time

Heck - I knew if I bet against them the "real" steelers would show up. Best $10 I spend in a long time.

Does anybody want to talk about Dallas!!!!! This is a Steelers thread - Just giving you trouble Bean.

I think at this point with the fumbles and stupid penalties you have to blame the coaches for not having the players focused.

I may have watched my last game this year....I just can't take watching them squander leads anymore....and I don't think my wife can take the swearing or things being thrown around the house either :)

Better get it out of your system before the baby comes.

YOU guys are so spoiled !!!!! The game was probably the most entertaining of ALL the NFL games this weekend. WE ( Steelers)won the superbowl last year. How would you like to be living in Cleveland, Cincinnati, Oakland, etc. These teams aren't even fun to watch for the past several years. I was impressed with Chalie Batch- it isn't easy coming of the bench and throwing right away. After all isn't Football about entertainment... sure it is more fun when you win, and I was yelling at the screen , growning, throwing a fit, etc. just like everyone else. But, that is what makes it fun....

That was a great game!! There are two things I love in life 1. The Mountaineers 2. The Steelers. Both teams played a great game I think the major factor was the refs they need to go back to ref school!!!!!!! I think NFL officiating has reach an all time low.

1. That ruffing the kicker call on Troy not a big deciding factor in the game but still yet the kicker needs a Grammy for that acting job he fell on Troy and its troys falt come on!!!!!

2. That false start on A WIDE OUT what kind of a low life makes that call on a hurry up snap!!!!!

3. THE NFL is so tight on illegal hits Ben took a direct helmet to helmet contact come on can we get a flag or even a fine????????? That game was handed over on stupid officiating calls. Jeff Reed would have been money from 45-50 what ever it was.

Also Ben is great QB and i don't doubt his ability one bit he has just had a bad 4 months lol to say the least!! One thing i can say is i don't get worried one bit if Batch comes in he is just as good!!

yes that game was great. I think the best part was the amount of fans there. I had the chance to go so you know I did. The tailgating was 50% steelers. It was nuts for every second of the game and yeah there were some iffy calls but, in the end we can not win if we must beat them.....and us.....
