Man you don't get a good sense of scale from the video. I was over there is weekend and this thing is a BEAST. Steve, get a picture of with a beer can on the top or a yard stick next to the tank. Also this thing is amazingly quiet. I can’t wait till this thing gets stocked, then I coming over with a fishing pole and my cutters. :p

Nice video Steve. Glad to see it finally full of water. I hope to have some H20 in mine later this year.

Are you serious? Thought i was bad . How is your baby bro? Mine looking cuter and cuter everyday lol...

Yep! No reason to rush in this economy! Come over here to Detroit and you can feel it big time. Plus, I'm very busy with work and my little guy. He's definitely a cute kid. Brings a smile to my face every day. I keep telling my wife that he'll love the reef tank once it has water and fish. For now, he likes watching the Koi in our pond. I'll get it going soon enough. For now, I just have fun watching and learning from you. ;)

I hope we have lighting expert here. My high speed Sfiligoi fixture come with a socket that won't fit Ushio bulb or any other bulb. According the Alessandro the one who build this fixture claim that is the E-40 socket which is 40mm while the bulb is E-39 which is 39mm. Please take a look at the picture and let me know if you see something that i don't.

Here is the socket... It is 40mm on top but it get smaller inside where the thread is...

SORRY but I think this is b**sh*t from Sfiligoi - each time they screw up, they always try to find excuses from the many threads I read about that!! Prior was the power supply not compatible in the US/ Europe and now the socket???

One of the reason why i always stay away from their product!!

I feel for u Steve, especially forking out so much for those fixtures :mad2:

Now the claim that something is wrong with Ushio bulb.... WILL at AO has been working hard to fix this issue. If Sfiligoi don't send me another sockets accompany with a bulb that actually fit inside i will send all 4 fixtures back and they better get it fix or refund my money....

AO has tried to fix their mess more than a few times from what I read around. I'm surprise AO is still doing representing them !!

I'm usually a pretty cool and patience guy but this Sfiligoi issue thingy is really getting into me as time and time again they do this b**sh*t

Odd that Ushio bulbs will be the issue where no other fixture in the world has an issue with Ushio bulbs

Go figures..... :(

Its impossible to decifer between 39mm and 40mm using a tape measurer; you definitely need calipers. Regardless, Id be ****ed off if I spent as much cash as you did on that lighting. I know what brand I WONT be using on my 225.

I will have Ushio expert identify the mogul socket and let me know the size. Sfiligoi ask if i can get another socket that will work with the bulb in America? I can get another socket for $5.99 but i have to get rid of Sfiligoi Ceramic housing as well as the socket. Which mean i paid $1299 for just the reflector....

They have the nerve to suggest that !! :mad2:

Are they out of their socket???

Hmmm so it seems....

Wow, thats terrible, steve. Sorry to hear that a high end company doesnt have high end customer service. IVe heard Gieseman has awful customer service also though, FWIW.

At least that is what Alessandro told me this morning. Dude, if i have to buy the American socket why not just buy Lumenarc or Lumenbright at least i can save $1150 on each pendant... I know their reflector ain't making out of diamond or platinum...

You paid $1300 per reflector?

Not to mention $50 for the black color change and $75 for shipping... If this problem don't get fix in the next two weeks i will return them all....
