That's a good temporary fix but hope they get it right for you soon man....!!

I will find the way to fix it myself. What Sfiligoi and AO can do is to replace my 2 Ushio bulbs, refund me for their crappy paint job then i will keep my mount shut...

Can't even get the paint right....man that is something

So, if we total it all up and think about what some have reported and for the money you can get a step down transformer driven 220v ballast system that some may have mogul socket that don't fit much, poorly painted, fuse bowin,no moonlight working fixture???

BUT, they do have big reflectors :D

My reflector is the biggest... lol

If they don't make it right for me, i will put a thread together in the feedback forum as well as AO forum... I am beyond upset...

Steve

it looks so CLEAN in your tank. is anything growing in the sand or rock yet?

Carl

Not yet Carl... The only thing that noticeable and continuously growing is my electric bill :D

are your pumps running continuously? now is a great time to start feeding the sand bed and rock critters. light or no light.

i know that one about the electric bill. even with my solar system and no lights on the tank itself to speak of.

electricity costs will be the death of the reef keeping hobby!

I hear you Steve....Be careful....I've heard of others doing the ballast switch as well like I did. There is no way we should havee to alter these fixtures to make them work...it's rediculous...not to mention how many of us are not licensed electrician licensed to do these repairs.

Chad

Hey there is light :D

Looking good. Don't worry about catching on fire; there are plenty of water to put it out

Carl, I will pick up couple container of Tigger pod from Reef nutrition... and may be couple kit of Detritivore (sp) to seed the tank....

As for the electricity cost, there is nothing we can do about it unless we find the way to DIY our own electricity :D

That is not 1000w bro. The pendant made for 1000w but i run 400w 14k on it. The reason i chose that pendant over the XR6 because i don't want to ended up like Hogall :D plus i want the bigger reflector.

Ahhh ok. I thought you had those 1000w beasts in there! I seen that pendant at AO and it has HUGE reflectors!
For any issues you are having with it, I'm sure it will all work out. They look great!

Rob, i have to cut the socket to be able to fit the bulb inside... I will find the way to replace the socket later...
