correct placement of rocks and 6301's will ensure just the top layers sand to be moved around and kept clean. pointing the 6301's directly to each other will cause a major sand storm. tank has to be aleast 6-7 months when then you can throttle the pumps to about 70% then 10% after 6 months and so on .

Hi, most of the rock came from my old 240g about 5yrs old. The rest of it from OCA or local reefer who decided to tapped out

I want option 1 too but it will take some space from my daughter playground and if she bumb into the tank i will be heartbroken.

That is why i order the tank as peninsula style. I can always use it as room divider later when i get a larger house.

I really like option 1 too but it will take too much space with that 48" wide. I don't want to reduce the with of the tank but when i get my future home (may be 5yrs later), i should be able to have my own fish room and set the tank up as room divider.

I won't be able to set up the tank will May. Because i have to move to Colorado in 1 May. The tank will be up and running by Mid May for sure. Next week i will start to work on the stand and Canopy.

Update:

The tank builder call today and let me know that he is not going to put any cross brace on the tank and the euro brace will be 4" all around with 1" thick acrylic.

I also received the last 2 Lumen Bright Large reflector today

Nothing really. Unless i can find someone who could do the skin on the stand for me.

yes, definitely get that sump covered up. Toddlers are very curious and maybe one day she sees dad putting a little of this stuff in the tank and well ....... maybe she decides to help help out a bit by adding some stuff too .

another thing people tend to forget w/ toddlers running around is that they are top heavy and if they fall head down into something like a bucket or sump they are not strong enough to get themself back upwrite and can drown.

Just a heads up but you will see just exactly how protective and a worryer you can be when you have a new little loved one running around the house . First couple months everytime they cry you will panic wondering what is wrong w/ her.

I've never asked you... I know you have tats....someone told me you had a huge green slimer on your shoulder ... seriously though...will you do a tat of her birth or anything?

I will definitely get my stand cover for safety purpose and i know exactly what you are talking about throwing stuff into the sump. I have read a thread about someone kit thought his sump is a water fountain so she throw penny inside the sump and kill most of his fish an corals.

Did i say that 2 weeks ago. Well the guy confirm on the delivery date will be Tues morning. I will post some pic of the tank as well as the ext waveboxes (Something Bart would love to have in his tank beside the ext overflow. )
