How about a valve on the back of the tank with 3/4" barb fitting so whenever i need to change the water change just connect the hose and turn on the valve
This is how I drain my 125 sump.
I have a bulkhea with ballvalve.
Appropritate fittings to a regular garden hose.
Attach hose, open valve and gravity does the rest. :)

Sean, i just send you an email of my new light rack design. let me know what you think. If possible, can you please convert it to image and post it up here for me. I am sucks with computer unless i have my camera here to take the pic of a pic

Folks, I have decided to go with 4 x 400w and 4 T-5 4 bulbs pendant. I hope Sean could help with the picture.

SeanT - I have a similar setup:

bulkhead with valve connected to Mag pump with barbed fitting.
1" vinyl on barbed fitting
Open valve, plug in pump, and my water drains faster than yours :D :p

I think so too lol. I am crazy about flow but not light and heat :D

Just post my 2 extra setup for trade... Hopefully someone hit me up soon before i decide to do something with it.

Steve, sorry if i missed it, but what tunze are you going to put on the wavy sea? 6101? 6201? Thanks! i am about to do the same thing too :P

Richard, I am not using the wavy sea unit. I just use the wavy sea tunze holder and mount it into my euro brace.

I have try the wavy sea unit with the tunze 6101 and 6201 before. It work very well with the 6101 but not the 6201. The 6201 will break the wavy sea in a month or so...

Here you go Steve.

Looks nice Steve. I think that's still plenty of light. Is your light rack going to be suspended or sitting on the tank? if suspended, how high above the tank?

ok all caught up w/ 2 pages of nonsense until few last posts . yeah that a great plan on lighting, my next tank will not include any supplements. like i said the floor isn't that hard if you have 2 hands, 2 feet and can read instructions :D. now if you can gather all the info on your display and plan out lighting, plumbing and etc. you should be able to do other minor diy's around the house. its hard to research anything else besides reef :D

I have all the listed above items but they don't function too well. Reading instruction is my biggest problem. I am now at the stage where i don't fully understand english and my vietnamese sucks. :D

Somehow i manage to wake up an hour prior to my alarm today. Either i am getting old or my clock crewing with me. But it jump up 1hr :(
