I am in the process of putting together a new 250 DD build. I am trying to finalize a stock list and wanted others input. I have three questions I am looking to answer?

Is it two aggressive...to many fish (I figure 177 full grown inches)

are there any issues with the fish? ( I plan on adding the PB and Achilles/gold rim last and at the same time)

What order should I stock?

Here is the list

1 Watanabei Angelfish (Genicanthus watanabei) male
2 Goldflake Angelfish (Apolemichthys xanthopunctatus)
3 blotched Anthia
4 Black Sailfin Blenny (Atrosalarias fuscus)
5 horned bleney
6 Central pacific
7 Fat head sunburst
8 bali lunati
9 Copperband Butterflyfish (Chelmon rostratus)
10_15 blue chromis x5
16_17 picaso clown x2
18 red mandarin
19 spotted mandarin
20 yellow watchman goby
21 Sleeper Gold Head Goby (Valenciennea strigata)
22 Jawfish, Blue Dot (Opistognathus rosenblatti)
23 naso tang
24 powder blue
25 achiles/gold rim tang
26 Vlamingi Tang
27 Lineatus Fairy Wrasse (Cirrhilabrus lineatus)
28 cook islang fairy wrasse
29 melranus wrase

May have problems with the jawfish and sleeper goby. The tangs may go at it too especially with the two more aggressive tangs ( powder blue and achillies). The stick list seems extremely overstocked too especially having 4 larger tangs in a 250. A good rule of thumb is every inch of fish is 5 gallons of water. So based on your fish list and 177 inches, you would need a 885 gallon tank to keep all the fish you want. There are going to be problems with ich and nutrient buildup

I probably wont get the Naso which will leave 3 tangs. Is there an issue with jawfish and all gobies or the sleeper goby specifically?

I had always heard the rule of thumb 1-2" per gallon...thoughts?

There is really no inch per gallon rule, it really depends on the fish and how they will get along, but there are exceptions to every rule, I have seen nice and mean of pretty much everything.

The rule of thumb your thinking about is definitely not for salt. Possibly for fresh, not salt tho. Rule of thumb is 1 inch for 5 gallons. Thats the most general rule and safe thumb.3 tangs in that size tank may be still too much. Tangs produce alot of waste which you have to remember, and they need a ton of swimming room. If they run out of swimming room, they start fighting. I would definitely research more before you start adding, you may end up making the same mistake I did when I started.... Put so much on the tank, the nutrients got too high and extremely difficult to reverse
