Found this guy in my overflow. Is this a stomatella snail?

I don't think so. No eye stalks. It looks like a limpet to me. If it doesn't move, it's a limpet. They are good to have. Is it out of the water? or was it just out for the pic?

It was only out of water for the picture. And it does move! It's actually got a shell over about half his body.

Yep, limpets are definitely motile gastropods.

I think Ron was thinking about barnacles. I think it is a stomatella with eyes retracted

I agree, I think its stalks are withdrawn because its out of water.

Thanks guys. I tried removing it so I could put it in the display but it was surprising hard to remove. I let it be cause I didn't want to damage him

stomatella: valuable. THe eyestalks don't always show. And never show when out of water.
