stopped working

Hi Rodger,
I have ts24 kit and noticed one of my pumps has stopped working and wondered if there is anything I can do to resolve it!
There have been no alarms
the interval light does not light up now
the transformer and blue box are cold
ive checked the fuse
swopping the leads round on the controller dont make no difference
if i swopped the power from the working side to the non working side and the leads in the controller it worked on the 1st channel for a short time and cut out, the blue box felt hot guess the maybe a thermal cut out although ive never compared it to anything

is there anything I can do, if not do i have to send it back to germany? im in the uk

Many thanks Eddy

It sounds like a driver problem, try swapping drivers- undo the 4 screws and pull the cord inside after you disconnect power of course. Swap the drivers and see if the pump works- it sounds like a transistor was not making adequate contact with the aluminum fram and overheated, the other possibility is a surge but british plugs have a fuse if I recall. Your dealer may be able to help and file the claim for you and just get you the part from stock.

Hi Roger,
Thanks for your reply, ive narrowed it down to the transformer I guess its a sealed unit so there are no serviceable parts, is uk warrenty 12 months (if you know) as the unit is only 14 months old?
Many thanks again Eddy

it seems to have wiped out the controller as well or vice versa found out about uk warrenty
cheers

This sounds like a power surge issue. Very odd, I have only ever seen one bad transformer. The warranty is 2 years

Well I sent my transformer and controller back to Germany and I dont know what was wrong but they sent out 2 new ones very quickly as well! so plugged them in and still the pump dont work! the units are very clean no visable where and tear its not the impellar as ive tested in the other unit, but the broken one just seems to jam sometimes it jams after 1/4 of a turn! what can I try now?
Cheers Eddy

Make sure the drive unit is properly inserted. If the bushings are out of place the brakes lock up. Sometimes if the transformer is damaged or driver the problem sets off a chain reaction and the pump is damaged and all parts of a damaged set should be sent in.
