strange sponge on clam shell

No, clam seems fine so far.

i think its some sort of colonial tunicate, mbbuna had something similar on one of his croceas.

I agree with Ezcompany. It might be tunicates.
I actually have colonies of them on my larger clams and couple small clams. They don't do any harm. I also have a small oyster growing on one of my big 8in Squamosa.

As long as it doesnt bother the clam at all dont worry about it. I also believe it's a tunicate.

I will leave it. Its strange how it appeared at one night. Maybe it was there all the time but I couldnt see, I dont know.
