I recently bought a large Aquarium from my friend who lives a few hours from me. After moving everything and setting it all back up with fresh saltwater and about 30 gallons of my friends water from his original setup. My 180G aquarium "cycled" very quickly. I slowly started adding new corals and fish and even anemones (Bubble tip anemone). My aquarium has been up no longer then 3 months now and i have recently started noticing what seem to look like Strawberry anemones popping up on live rock. Now, to make this a little more difficult to understand. Strawberry anemones are cold water anemones. My system runs at 80 degrees which means that these probably are not strawberry anemones but they look so similar. Now i wouldn't normally worry about these because they do look pretty. But ive noticed one in my sump which i dont run any light on it anymore. I only ran a light on it (On the spot where i noticed the "anemone" in my sump) for no more then 24hours at one period. They are no larger then a quarter, have a red base with white/clear testicles with white tips. I will post a picture as soon as i can, i was hopping somebody could help me identify with it is and maybe give me more information on it? Im very new to this hobby and have a concern that it might hurt my corals and or fish.
