Stream sucking air

Roger,

I installed my Stream 6100 on my 65 gallon tank with Euro-Bracing using the extension kit 3000.244. I have the pump mounted at the lowest point on the bracket but it is sucking air from the surface. Any solutions? Thanks.

Is the solid portion of the intake/outlet piece facing up? Honestly I have never heard or seen of this problem before at the maximum depth.

You have kit 3000.244 for Eurobracing? This can work for narrow euro braces but usually kit 3000.26 is what you want it looks much better as the pump will rest on the glass.

Roger,

I think I will buy the 3000.26. I do not like the way the Stream looks when it sits three inches away from the side glass. The 3000.244 is the kit that the vendor I bought it from told me to use.Thank you.

I'm sorry about that, for some reason they get that confused sometimes- 3000.244 is for 1" or less Eurobrace or Plastic rimmed aquariums. Kit 3000.26 is for 1" to 6" Eurobrace or acrylic.

Roger,

The solid piece on the intake was down. I moved it to the up position and no air drawn in. I will still order the correct mount kit to move the unit closer to the side wall. Thanks.
