Have a Clownfish that has stringy poo/ internal parasite
He eats always and alot, had him for about a year only started noticing about 1/2 months ago

in a 57 gallon with about 5 other fish(all healthy as far as i can tell)

Ive read about prazi and setting up a QT tank but he seems fine and i dont want to set it up unless he looks unhealthy...

Im looking into soaking some pellets in APIs general cure(Prazi &Metronidazole) or New life Spectrum Thera -A pellets or Possibly HEX Shield

What do you guys think?

Do you feed a lot of brine shrimp? Those are known to sometimes cause stringy poo.

Also after a year without symptoms I would rather suspect am intestinal bacterial infection (possibly caused by bad food). A parasite lingering for this long is rather unlikely.

Actually feed mostly pellets someone on another mentioned it it could be from too much protein in the pellets..

Not saying this is the cause of stringy poop, but it's always better to give your fish a varied diet instead of the same thing all the time. Pellets aren't natural food, so I wouldn't want that to be their entire diet. Buy some frozen mysis and brine. Your Clowns will love it.

I will see a stringy poop on my clowns from time to time. It's usually nothing. If their behavior changes, that's when you should worry.

So the week of frozen worked; no more stringy poo!!
Been feeding pellets the few days and finally see normal poo
