Everybody know that stringy poop mean internal parasites.

Is there nay evidences of this or is it something that have been parrot down since prehistoric time?

Inquiry mind want to know. Please help

An interesting one. I've got more experience with fw fish but if you feed a lot of commercial flake/pellets etc the binders that keep them together can cause stringy poop. Whitish/clear stringy poop however may be a cause for concern.

I find if you feed fish a high fatty diet (i.e. LRF, Chefzilla or similar) exclusively it will cause white stringy poop even though worms may not be present. Not sure why white and stringy means internal issues
