stuck in skimmer

im an addict lol
I guess I need to take apart and clean skimmer. Weird place for the ski mate to collect. This pick is the bottom of the skimmer where the pump is housed. No flow is in this area. The clump of brown moves like fish poop when a gave the skimmer body a gentle shake

Thats why i went with a avast cs3 skimmer for my next go around. the whole thing can be taken apart. The reef octopus diablo I had would grow algae and gunk would collect in the places where it was the most difficult to clean. Couldn't be taken apart so I feared breaking the acrylic every time I tried to clean the thing.

Roger, Ask John since he built it I am sure he knows how to clean it. When I get my Itech 400 down to him I planed on asking because I am afraid to take it apart

i-TECH's were built to be pulled apart for more easy cleaning. Remove the Titanium screws and the bottom plates should separate. If is has been awhile since they've been separated a bit of gentle force, tapping, may be required.

Once you get the 3 titanium screws off the bottom there should be another nut you can remove to completely remove the bubble plate.
