You may be correct. For whatever reason, the last three sumps I've done this way and never had a micro bubble issue. I hope I don't have to redo not in the end. Stay tuned and find out. Lol

Today was a good day. Along with spending quality time with my inlaws, who were in town, I also made some more progress on the build. I finished the sump, installed the fuge LED light, added the high-power magnets to the false sides, placed the r/o resoivoir (20 gallons) and the sump in their place. I also installed the in-tank plumbing for the herbie and the two returns. Here is hoping the bulkheads do not leak. It was a tight squeeze to tighten them. I went hand tighten plus a 1/4 turn.
On to the pics.
The electrician is coming on Wednesday to help me get the outlets ready. Should have the plumbing done by next weekend and then fresh-water testing. We are all really excited!

Electrician came today and installed the dual GFCI outlets and dedicated breaker for the tank. This week also saw the purchased of an Mp40wes, aqua UV sterilizer, and MRC MR1 carbon reactor. Only thing left to do now is order the lights and wrap up the plumbing. I'd like to have both done this week, but given that it is out 10th anniversary, not sure it is going to happen. In the interim here are a few pictures of the 20-gallon nano as it is today. All fish and most corals will move to the 187. The 20 will be a seahorse and mushroom tank at some point in the future.

Also, decided to use a Pan World 150 pump I had laying around. Decided it needed to be freshened-up though. Here it is, ready for paint.
I'll post up pictures of the final product. Pump was barely used, but has sat in the garage for a few years. So hopefully I can make it look a little better.

Great build so far. I really like how the stand turned out, better to be overbuilt than have it collapse a few years down the road. I am wondering if your avatar picture of the dog is a cane corso? I am a big fan of the corso breed. Been trying to talk the misses into one for quite some time, but with our youngest at 4 and the oldest at 8, and 2 more in between those two, The Wife says we have to wait. Plus we already have 4 dogs, 4 cats, 4 fish tanks and a 13 year old rabbit that runs the house. One day I will get my manly dog.

Thank you. Yes, that's Enzo, our 12-month old Cane Corso. He is one of three dogs we have. We also live with a Dogo De Argentina, and a Havanesse. We have three children, oldest is eight, youngest is 14-months. We've gotten a puppy for each child (sort of). He is a great dog, probably the best I've ever owned. Plays fetch, obedient, and incredibly intelligent. One bad part is he has eaten over a thousand dollars worth of palm trees, including two purple kings, a buccaneer, and two Phoenix species. And he sheds more than advertised. Great member of the family though.

Coincidently I am 6'5" and weigh 265 pounds. I know exactly what you mean; when we only had the Havanesse and I walked him around the neighborhood, I looked funny. Thanks for the comments on the build, were getting really excited.

Awesome job on the stand! Everything looks really good. I'm curious about the dogo. Have any pictures? That's the best dog looking, most manly dog in the world if you ask me.

So, today I set out to plumb this bad boy. Now, I know this will not compare to some of the magnificent works of plumbing art that get posted here (biggar and others), but I am happy with it. Mostly because it is the cleanest plumbing job I've ever done on a tank and it turned out exactly as I planned. I was able to run 1/4" JG line from the return to feed the carbon reactor, and 1/2" JG line to feed the uv sterilizer. Tank should be very efficient, with the one PanWorld 150 for the return, the Eheim 1260 running the skimmer, and the mp40wes for flow (will add a second mp40 or mp10 in the future if needed. On to the pics. Please ignore the power cables as I am waiting on the DJ switch to come in this week for the wiring phase.
Now if I could decide on the lights, we might just get this thing going. Lol. Thanks for sharing in the build.

Last week.
And a few months ago.
He was just neutered last month and weighed in at 110. I am expecting he'll end up somewhere between 130 and 140. Sweet guy.
beautiful dogs! i used to have a presa canario, very simiar to a cane corso. now i have a 183lb bull mastiff, laziest yet sweetest dog ever.
