WE ARE WET!

So, I took the tank and stand off of the dolly almost by myself (wife pulled the dolly while I lifted the tank.) It was the hardest thing I've ever done physically. Tank is in its place, filled with fresh water, and fully operational. NO LEAKS. I feel so accomplished. Lol. On to the pictures.

And finally, my littlest frag.

I think I finally decided on lights as well. They are the last piece of equipment missing, other than the apex lite, which will come later this year. More than likely I will be ordering a 8-bulb ATI fixture and attaching a reefbrite xho royal blue strip to the front of the fixture. If I find I need a second reefbrite in the future, for the rear, I will add it then.

Hello all, It's been a while since my last update. Things are moving along slowly. I contacted Reeflo and ordered a BlowHole 2700 to replace the Pan World 150. I also finally ordered the ATI 8x54 fixture from ReefGeek. I am expecting both early next week. Once they arrive the plumbing will get redone, lights mounted, electrical wired in the stand and then finally we can fill-er up.

Spent a few hours working on the aquascape last night. Pictures later today.

bah, i wish i had seen this thread sooner, your stand looks fantastic!, not sure if you went with the waterproof paint inside the stand but this is what i used to waterproof mine
http://www.parklandplastics.com/polywall.shtml
it's sold at lowe's for 20.00 and cuts with a blade or scissors, then just some silicone and you are 100% waterproof with out a mess.

First of, anyone drinking Heineken Light should be beaten senselessly 33 times a day for at least a decade. Despite that, the stand looks fantastic actually. Very impressed. The sump looks good too, although as always, you overkilled the plumbing LOL...... You are seriously making me miss my own tank, and making me miss having one. Uhhhmmm, maybe I'll set up a 180 too LOL.......

Thanks guys. It's great to have you to share the build with. As promised here are some pictures of the aquascape. I modified it a bit after these were taken, but you get the idea ;)

There is ample area to clean the glass all the way around. I also elevated most of the structures and attached them, by drilling 5/8" holes in the rock and using 1/2" CPVC wedged in the holes. None if the CPVC is exposed. The layout gives me great sps mounting options.

And it was good!

Finally got the fixture mounted and lit. Really happy with how it turned out. Just hope those 300-pound anchors hold. Lol.

Now if we could just get a pump, we'd be good. :)

Also fabricated the trim for the top of the tank today. Will fill the holes and paint to match the stand tomorrow.

Tank is filled with fresh water and all pumps are running. I put the PanWorld 150 back on for now.

^^^^ Thanks guys. My wife asked today how often we had to change them. I chuckled when I said every ten months.

Can't wait to add the Reefbrite strip. I'll probably order it in a couple of weeks.
