Stylo328's 187 (60x30x24) Build Thread

Nice looking tank, really like the plumbing work. I too want to d a manifold on my tank and you provided a great shot of yours plumbed out.
is that mp40 the only pump your going with in the tank?

Thanks.

I'm going to give the MP40 a try along with the penductors. If I find it isn't enough, I will likely upgrade to an MP60 and place the MP40 on the back wall on the left side.

I didn't post about it on this thread, but the BlowHole 2700 came in.

Unfortunately it was in horrible shape. After going back and forth with Reeflo and a few misunderstandings over email, I have shipped the pump back and they have refunded my payment.

For now the PanWorld 150 is back on the tank. I am considering pre-ordering the WaveLine DC Gen 2. Would like your thoughts on the WaveLine pumps.

I plan on using them. Reeflo even has them and use them in their Diablo series Protein Skimmers also. Lots of power for as low watts used depending on the model. There is a smart wave version out also but less expensive than the Wavelines.

I am going to contact Aquarium Specialty today and likely place the order for the 12000. I'll let you know how it goes.

No, the 12000, they are generation 2 of the WaveLine and are due to arrive in the US in late May. They seem very impressive.

So, I was researching pumps and came across a few threads about the Poseidon/ Velocity T4. Read up a bit and decided to use the one I own as the return pump for the tank. I am in the process of cleaning it up as it has been stored for a while. I may have to abandon the penductors, but no biggie, I'll live.

Hopefully I can wrap up the plumbing this coming week, finish the trim piece (decided to make some changes to the previous one) and have the NSW delivered. The only wrinkle is that we are considering redoing the floors in the house. This would definitely place the build on a long-term hold. Tbd!

Finally ordered the Diablo DC 10500. Chose this over the Waveline DC12000 for the power savings and the backing of the Reef Octopus warranty. I ordered the last one in stock. I will update the thread when I receive it.
