Stylo328's 187 (60x30x24) Build Thread

Btw, the T4 pump won't spin, even after a long vinegar bath and thorough cleaning. May have overheated years ago.

Received the tracking info today. The Diablo DC 10500 will be here Friday afternoon :)

Also made a few purchases at last weekend's frag swap.

If the cycle goes well, MACNA might prove to be a great source for tank stock.

Love the build looks great man. Looking into getting the diablo pump as well, let us know how it is.
Also does the noise of the mp 40 bother you?

Thanks! I've ran the MP40 with freshwater a few times and have not noted any noise. With three kids and three dogs, it isn't exactly quiet around here ;)

So, the pump arrived today. Didn't have all of the advertised adapters, but it sis have the (2) 1 1/4" ones I needed. Here are a few shots.

Filing with freshwater as I post. Hopefully this will be the last freshwater test!

And just like that were moving water! I am amazed at how quiet this pump is. I took the penductors off as they were not as effective as they would have been with a pressure pump. For now I am running the two 3/4" loc line ports wide open. Tomorrow I'll pick up a set of 1/2" reducers.

I am also going to try to do all of the electrical cable routing tomorrow with the hopes of having the salt water delivered next week.

Lets see if this works.

Looking nice buddy

Thanks bud.

Update: leak tested with fresh-water over the weekend; cannot believe how quiet this pump is. All well. Drained the fresh water and started the wiring process. About 75% done. Water should be delivered Saturday morning and then the cycle begins.

Have continued to collect frags. Very exciting!!

Those pumps are pretty cool aren't they?

How's it going? Hope the knee is feeling better.

I cannot believe how quiet the thing is! Only complaint is that is doesn't work with the penductors. May have to add another mp40 or 60 down the road. Won't know until I start to stock the tank though.
