Could've been a space issue also since you had all those fish in together. You probably said this already but did you introduce them together?

No, the PBT came first I split the 75 in half with egg crate for a few weeks so they could adjust to one another, then removed the egg crate last weekend. They were chasing and sparring a bit, but seemed ok until last night. The PBT hurt the Achilles pretty bad.

Not worth the risk in the DT. I am going to re-home the PBT and replace him with a nice purple tang that my LFS got in this week.

Ok. Just was curious.

Honestly i would not add/change any fish as in my opinion would start your quarantine time over. This is why i look for small/juvenile specimens, they are not all set in their ways and grumpy and have a better chance at getting along with tank mates than grouchy set in their ways adults... hmm, kinda like humans..lol

Thanks for the advice. since I added the three wrasses yesterday, the QT period has started all over again.

Update.

The Achilles is alive, which is a shock to me, honestly. He is continuing to eat well and the wound appears to be healing. I still have both tangs in the 75 separated by egg crate. The PBT should be going to a new home soon. It's a shame because he is a great specimen.

I should be posting some pictures this weekend.

Today was eventful!

Decided to make the move from the QT to the display for most of the fish. Unfortunately, we've lost a few while in QT. Here is the list of those who made the move today.

Mimic tang
Platinum clown
Midas blenny
Male lyre-tail anthias
Female lyre-tail anthias (4)
ORA Black cardinal (2)
Yellow watchman goby
Blue headed fairy wrasse
Red fin fairy wrasse
Mandarin dragonet

The Achilles, PBT and orange stripe are still in QT. The PBT and orange stripe will be going to their new home tomorrow morning and the Achilles will stay in QT until the damage done by the PBT heals.

Here are a few pics after a water change today.

Powder blue and orange striped tangs have gone to their new home.

The Achilles remains alone in QT, still in hypo. I am pessimistic on his surviving. He is barely eating, if at all, and is pacing.

Everyone else that made the move to the DT is alive and seems to be doing well.

Unfortunately we lost the Achilles tang.

I am considering taking down the 75-gallon QT and replacing it with a 20-gallon QT. I need a new Achilles and a few more wrasses, and that should do it for fish.

Aww man, I was really hoping the Achilles made it, such a beautiful fish... Why are you considering downsizing the qt? Other then it might help you control your buying..lol

Mostly because it makes changing salinity and medicating water easier. That's all.

My buying does need to get under control. Lol

Trust, it is out of control. There is a frag swap in a nearby county this weekend. This is the wish list I sent my wife.

Strawberry shortcake
Cali tort
Oregon tort
Chips acro
Yellow milli
Pink milli
Green milli
Green slimer (no-blue tips)
Orange passion SPS
Blueberry encrusting monti
Teal stag
Superman monti digitata
Forest fire digitata
ORA gecko green
Lavender stag
Yellow tort
Pearlberry
Plum crazy
Phil's granulosa
Joe the coral
Green eflorensis
Christmas mirabilis

Not sure I will find them all, or could even afford them if I did. Need to tone it down. Lol
