So when is the new new build thread going to be posted?
Had we talked about the upgrade? Or were you around when I was talking to Reef Savvy at MACNA?
Seriously my wife and I have been talking about the next tank and she has given me her tentative blessing to do a 10' x 3' x 2' tall peninsula tank as a room divider. Tentative on my tileing the house and remodeling the kitchen first.
Nope but with the amount of corals you already have and the ones on your wish list I knew there had to be a bigger tank in the future.
By the way you can't go wrong with a Reef Savvy tank Felix is the best.
Agreed. I remember when I saw your tank sitting empty in the living room, before you made the swap. It looked like a piece of art, even then.
Is it safe to keep all those wrasses together? I wanted a red fin fairy but was afraid because of my yellow wrasses. Also seems like a lot of competition for pods for the mandarin
Wifey threw down the gauntlet today when she said, and I quote, "get this one up and right before you start thinking about the next one". Lol
and genus is the second half of the scientific name?

dang i missed this post..lol [place crack:whip smiley here] lol gotta regain her confidence now.
There are plenty of hiding places and swimming space for the wrasses. I have had several wrasses housed together in the past. There may be some occasional chasing, but usually they work it out.
As for the mandarin, he eats PE Mysis as well as several other frozen foods. He spends the day hunting and pecking, but definitely gets his fill at feeding time.
cool, i might start shopping for my other wrasse then, my issue is i have an open top and am afraid one of those "occasional chases" might result in a wrasse landing on my two year olds head as he passes the tank...lol:fish1:
my other deal is i have never seen my mandarin eat anything other than pods.
