substrate for seagrass

Shai Dorsai!
I am planning a sea grass tank (shoal and turtle). This will be a new tank. I am considering a layer of soil on the bottom, then a laterite layer, and then a mix of sand/crushed coral. Anything wrong with that? Anything better?

I've had luck with turtle grass in the past but that was with an established and gunky 8" DSB. This is a new tank.

I use aragonite mixed with ecocomplete and Seachem onyx sand. I also use seachem flourish tabs.

Note taken. It seems it would be a tricky balance having enough nutrients but not too much. In my mixed reef, I just try to keep lowish nutrients....you know all tests 0.
