substrate review

I m moving my 75 g non rr to a 72 r r. I was curious if anyone has any experience with using a dark substrate in a reef tank. I belive indo pacific makes a black sand. Well its light and dark. Any feed back would be more than welcome or other suggestions.

Someone here has it. I think they mixed it with white oolitic sand. I think the black sand is called Tahitian Moon sand. It can be done.
