Suction Cups for large tank move needed

Does anybody have or know of a place where I can rent suction cups to move a 200 gal system?

I am in West Loop and willing to pay for rental.

A glass shop would probably rent them to you for a short time.

Harbor freight sells them, Los. You want to be sure you have enough cups to handle the load, and enough people to man them.
Chances are, you can buy for about the same cost as renting.

Looked into those cups... looking at the ratings it looks like they would fail on a tank move!

One other thing,

I looked into these as I needed to move my 300 gallon tank and six guys couldn't pick it off the floor an inch! We estimated the tank weighed around 1,000 lb empty.

Two guys (one a physics teacher at my school) came in with the heavy duty shoulder harness lifting straps and moved the tank without any issues.

Those things are amazing!!!

We were able to lift a 300g 8x2 glass tank with 6 guys. You just need to distribute the weight evenly.

Another option that worked for me is put it on a couple Dolleys and slide it.

Yeah, I saw the ones there and they are small and did not instill much confidence. I ended up going on eBay and getting them. Found the good ones for great price and free shipping. Ordered them on Monday and got them today. Definitely easier and faster than renting them.

When I tried to rent them, they wanted to "authorize" my card for $500 bucks. Since I am moving the tank during the week and not until the evening due to man power availability, I needed to rent the things for two days. At the end of the day, the two day rental for 4 was costing me just about 20 bucks cheaper than actually buying them. At that point, I decided to just purchase them.
