I have a 20gallon running 250w Mh & 2x65pc and every summer I have a fan running full speed to cool this thing down And really cant enjoy my tank. (also just picked up a clam) I don't have a chiller and do not have room for one :headwally: I was just going to DIY some cooling fans. Looking for input on something that's powerful to cool this thing down?

Azoo cooling fans fairly cheap very quiet and work great. What I did before I got my chiller. Also IMO 250watt halide on a 20gallon is over kill, 150 watt woulda done you just fine. You may run a risk of bleaching any coral you have

i love my ebay led's 120 watt fixture for $178 each i have 3 over my 125 and 1 over my 30 gal frag tank. hopefully i wont need my chiller this summer

They do look nice dan. I'm getting the same ones but dimmable matt. You can can always come over to check them out

I have a 150w mh with ballast I am not using if you ate interested we could work a trade or something out. It is an enclosed unit.

I wouldnt bother with diy cooling lines for such a small tank. Maybe try raising the mh and point a standing oscillating fan at the whole tank.

Those are the one's I'll be getting as well, but dimmable like frost mentioned. They look really nice over your tank.

is it me or is 300 watts of lighting a lil overkill, I would think about 125 watts of power would support anything in a 20 gallon tank
