Sump help

"Salinity 1.028...."
IMO, too high. Try to bring down slowly to 1.023~24.
Nitrate: Too High. You should look at doing a 10% water change.

I just want to know what’s wrong with my water that it would melt a coral almost instantly. It’s like there isn’t s test kit for whatever I have lol

I just tested and my levels changed again…calcium and salinity are a bit high, and mag is low. Not sure how to get the salinity perfect with water changes

Ammonia 0
Nitrate 25, were 10 a few days ago
Nitrite 0
PH 8.15
Alk 8.3
Cal 560
Mag 1166
Phosphate .5
Salinity 1.028
Funny how we all see things differently. While it's true the salinity is at the upper safe limit, nothing there bothers me except the .5 phosphate.

How is phosphate that high in a tank that is only a few months old?
How much are you feeding?
Remind me again what test kits you are using

It wasn’t that high a few days ago. I feed small portions in the morning and evening. Salifert test kit.

I haven’t. I’m going to also bring a sample to my LFS tomorrow to compare
Sounds like a plan. I hope you don’t think any of us are talking down/questioning your knowledge. Those who are chiming in here are like me, we hate an unsolved mystery. So, we’re all trying to figure out what’s going on.

I didn’t think that at all! I appreciate the feedback, that’s why I came back here when I started the hobby again. The people on here got me through it 20 years ago and that’s how I’ve gained most of my knowledge even though I’ve forgotten some as well 🥴

I don’t remember it being this complicated 20 years ago but I was also in my early 20s, makes a huge difference 😂
