I just hope the clowns survive. I’m a softy for themThat’s what we’re all here for, to help you through it![]()
Still awful. The fish and shrimp are fine. Xenia died@Joypaws83 how are things looking today?
The power strip was moved. It was still there from when I initially set everything up but didn’t stay there. Tested the water and everything checks out. The magnesium is a little low but that’s it. I have no idea what’s going on, it’s super frustrating though!based on your pictures, I would move the power strip and place it above and away from the sump. Try to screw/hang on inside one of the tanks legs....
You don't want that anywhere near water, especially below the waterline.....but otherwise looks great. The damsels (Clowns) should be OK...they are hardy. Sounds like you might need to check your ammon levels to see if you gad a mini-cycle....just IMO
So sorry.Still awful. The fish and shrimp are fine. Xenia died![]()
I’d rather those die than the other stuff, just wish I knew what is causing thisSo sorry.
I remember it being everywhere when I had the first time. I’d have to scrape them off glassYeah, you might have dodged a bullet with the Xenia. That stuff spreads like crazy.
Yes, put the filter media in the sump. I’m going to test everything again tomorrow and see where everything is atI'm convinced it’s a mini cycle....did you remove the HOB (it was a Tidal correct?) when the sump went live? or did you put the filter media from HOB in the sump?....but if you're readings are all good, then its the sudden increase in water flow, but I've never seen that kill coral right away.....sorry, stumped.
Yep, us old dudes, when we put our heads together sometimes come up with good thingsI’m assuming a mini cycle like @OldReefGuy suggested. The ammonia was elevated this morning. Corals still angry, fish are fine![]()
