A while back I saw a few of these either in this forum or maybe at an online vendor. Well, now that I'm ready for one I cannot find them anywhere :( Does anyone know where I could get either of those two color variations? Also, if you've got them please post pics :) Thanks!

Here's mine when I first got it, although the yellows on the tips have since faded to almost white for some reason.

Maybe a description of the colors would be helpful since the naming of BTA color varieties is not exactly standardized.

Bright red with any of the following colors/combinations:
white flecks
red with green base
Viper_930's nem
multi colored tentacles

Or:
-blue BTA

-purple BTA

Red w/ green base BTAs are very common, but IME they typically do not showt the green base 24/7. Why, I'm not sure.

I purchased from a LFS labeled as, go figure, a RBTA with yellow tips apparently from Vietnam. The LFS is in the Chicago suburbs and as of last week had one left but don't think he ships.

dholic, very nice. Have you had yours long? A couple of other posters said theirs lost the yellow after a while in their tank. I'm just curious if sometimes the yellow remains long-term.

garygb, only about 2 months now. I read the same above so I will now keep watch on the yellow tips but so far, no color loss.

I think most of these "morphs" are transient, just like the bubbles. After a while they all seem to turn straight red, green, or brownish.

I'd really like to see some new pics of all those blue BTAs Liveaquaria was selling for $$$ a few months back. I suspect they are all green or brown now.
