sunpod lighting

Does anyone have a sunpod 150w 14000k I am trying to find out if this light is good for a hex 80 gal 27" deep by 30" wide. The only other possibility is the Coralife hang on tank metal halide 150w, 14000k or 150w, 20000k. Does anyone have any suggestions on what type of light I may be able to use on this tank. I know with the deminsions I seem limited. I have been searching for days on line reading and everything seems to be running together, can anyone help please..........

What animals would you like to have?

For the most light-demanding animals, I think a 250 W or 400 W setup would be good. Maybe some XM bulbs with a good reflector? Are you up for building a canopy or a frame to suspend a pendant?

I have no problem building a canopy for the tank. The problem I have is the 30" diamiter, I have not been able to find any lights that are 30" with 250w or larger. Do you know of any links...Thanks.

I have a sunpod 150W 14000k on my 24 gal nano and it works great, however I have heard for optimum coral growth go with 6500-10000K. I dunno but I think my birdsnest coral is growing with the 14K
