Survey: Free Senseo Machine

I have been thinking about getting an individual coffee machine for myself at work. I don't like the taste of Maxwell House coffee that they use at work. This may solve my problem. Thank you for posting the link.

Tomoko I have a Tassimo that i love only one downside, you can only get the T-discs at Target and Linens N Things . I'm thinking I might give the senseo a whirl because i've seen the pods for them everywhere!

Thanks for the info!!

Currently, I have a Tassimo downstairs and a Senseo in my upstairs office. I buy all my T-discs from Amazon or the best place is from tassimo.com, They have the entire selection on the market and give you free shipping when you spend over ~$30. I like the Senseo, the only downsides are a longer standby time compared to the Tassimo as well as a smaller water reservoir (without a built in water filter).

Just submitted the survey. I am a coffeeaholic (dont know if that is how you spell it lol) and would def be cool to have at work. Thanks!!!

Thanks for posting this! I received an email from them last night.
"Congratulations! You are eligible to receive a FREE Senseo® Coffee Pod System through the Share Senseo® promotion."

Mmmmm coffee

Thanks, Nicole. I sure don't want to get more junk mails. It seems to me that junk mail developers are getting craftier and spam zapping counterparts are just barely keeping up.

I forgot about that, I gave them my "Special" email and phone number. Make sure and give them the correct address if you want to get your machine. On the net I always give out my grandcentral.com number. It forwards to my personal number(s) and automatically screens the caller before it rings my phone and then gives me the option to answer, reject, or block that number. Google bought them out and now it is by invitation from another member.

edit:
Oh, don't forget about the National Do not call, registry. After registering, I believe every telemarketer in the country has 90 days to remove you from their calling list. After that they can face prosecution. I did read about a new revision allowing a small loophole, but I won't digress any further. I have all of my family's numbers registered. No more spam calls when I am in the hospital or eating dinner.

Just a note, a quick letter could take care of this matter. There is an email address there in that privacy policy to email to and they will remove your information. Just forbid them to share, use, or sell your information. They will remove your name from their marketing database and mark you as a private in the database so that your name isn't sold. You should have a standard form letter and email stating such and mail that to anyone you do business with that will override their privacy policy 100% of the time. I rarely get junk mail anymore, and as Kiran stated get on the Do Not Call list that has stopped most phone calls. Still get the occasional call usually asking for my 17 y/o wanting to sell her a million dollar time share. LOL I usually carry on with them for a few minutes then laugh at them for wasting there time. That usually ends calls from them. Whats worse is most schools give your childs information out to the colleges, and education organizations such as all the honor society scammers and honor vacation scammers.

The Do Not Call Registry only works for companies you haven't done business with. When you fill out a sweepstakes form or something like this, it counts as doing business with them, the DNC list isn't in effect for that company or it's subsidiaries. (Yes, there are other loopholes. Like charities and political parties being totally exempt. And calling places of business is exempt.)

So unless someone's privacy policy provides a specific opt-out AND you do it AFTER you initiate the "business" (often past some number of days after the business), you are putting your info up for sale.

Unfortunately, I happen to know that those "we have 30 days to comply clauses" often means they use the 30 days to disseminate your info to as many places as possible, with 3rd parties with whom they have agreements that will later share-back the info. By and large, the only protection you have is their good will and ethics, which may change at any time.

I NEVER give out my phone number or email address on any kind of form, never enter sweepstakes and drawing and never send away for a free trial of anything. I'd like to be one of those people who just doesn't really care about the junk, but I'm not. :)

I just got a new phone line for my office (very carefully labeled a personal phone line) and despite immediately registering for the DNC list, I am getting 20-30 phone calls PER DAY. I didn't pay the $8 per month to be unlisted; it's robbery. I just don't ever pick up the phone.

As far as e-mails go I have a G-mail e-mail address and have never given it out to anyone. No one has it but I still get 150-200 junk mails a week on it.

Hard to get away from junk e-mail it seems.
