Swimming pool conversion into Reef Aquarium

Is this something the general public will ever see, I.e. vacation rentals or strictly private residence?

waterfall nearing completion.

tomorrow wood works will start with the large support poles being placed to hld the walking bridge

started today with the wood works. Pillars are placed in cement cilinders for added support to the floor.
All foundations for wood work has been completed.

You sir are building my dream tank!!! It's looking great so far! I can't wait to see the finished setup!

Design flaw. I don't see anything being planned to keep rain water from surface entering pool. Once rain water mixes with planting soil or mostly anything else in your yard and drains into the pool you can kiss goodbye any type of beneficial bacteria required for both fresh and salt water systems.

Also what about rain water draining from your roof? I guarentee some of that has to be toxic.

Just about every single outdoor koi pond would experience the same situation with rain water and planting soil, and their biological filters are not damaged by it at all.

Losing everything after a flood is a completely different scenario than rain causing soil to get into a pond. There are thousands of koi ponds that are rained in frequently, and have had more than just soil wash into them with no detrimental effects to the biological filter. If it did harm them, we would not see any successful ponds in areas that got rain at all. For that matter, if soil caused the failure of biological filtration, we would not have any successful natural ecosystems anywhere.

Either way, I'm loving this build, and I can't wait to see more.

Natural rock will be lined around the swimming pool to create a more natural look and create a natural barrier to avoid anything come into the pool with light flooding. There is also no planting soil or anything anywhere near the area as the entire area now is cemented. The planting area in the pictures will disappear and will become natural rock area. Actually the project has been made just that little bit larger with the back wall becoming a full natural rock wall with 2 large black mirrors incorporated in them. Sray tuned.

some more updates on how things are progressing
one of the 2 salas is almost done. (the smaller one)

and the walk bridge is completed

great progress in the big project. Natural stone will run onto the wall around the project with 2 large black mirrors placed on the wall. Small sala is completed and large sala will be done soon too.
