swimming worm vid

i found this worm swimming around in my tank this morning and tried to get a pic but as my camera isnt very good i got a vid clip instead.

the worm its self is red three quarters of the way up tuning to cream with a black head and has hundreds of legs each side and is about an inch and a half long.

A polychaete swarmer. It's the reproductive form of a bristleworm.

From the way it moves & overall appearance I'd say it's an epitoke in the polychaete family Nereididae. There's a good picture of one at http://www.uwphoto.no/shopexd.asp?id=1137

Thats the one thank you. Any ideas as to where they come from, as the only thing that ive added to the tank recently is an anemone Is there anywhere with further information on these little fellas?

You have live rock? Or corals/anemones attached to rock? It probably was in a burrow then stayed hidden until it was time to spawn. There's a lot of information available on the web. Do a search for any combination of these terms "nereididae, nereid, epitoke, life history, feeding, food, ecology" and I'm sure you'll find far too much!
