Switching to all t5's have a question.

Converting to all t5 setup, have 2 4 bulb 54w 48" fixtures now, do you guys think i need to add 2 8x 54w fixtures or 2 4x 54w fixtures. Tank as most of you know is 8' x 30" x30".

i dunno, but keep in mind that shrooms and yumas cannot live under T5 HO. unless they are barly visible in a deep cave

I would add 2-4x 54w fixtures and see how it goes...that should be plenty of light and if you decide you want more you can add them later.

Trottie, you sure about that, mine are currently under 432w of t5 with 1250w of metal halide.

Yea, I disagree as well. I have shrooms under a 6 bulb T5 and they have never looked better...

Tired of a few things, #1 on the list is the low clearance over the tank, tired of burning myself when i try to do maintance, #2 is the 83-84 tank temp with a a/c unit keeping the room at 68. & #3 if i can get the same look & growth out of 864w instead of 1682w ill be saving the earth & my elect bill.
