sygnathid and cniderian flow needs

Hi all, I was looking to spruce up our seahorse tank, by introducing live corals. My main question is finding a happy medium for water movement. This tank houses a fairly wide variety of sygnathids, and I would like to add (in particular) photosynthetic caribbean gorgonians (pseudoplexaura sp., plexaurella sp., pseudopterogorgia sp., etc.), as well as a few other softies -- I know hitching will strip tissue, but this is a pretty large tank, and I'm not worried about it, at this point. Ideally, I'd like to house corals in the top 1/2 of the tank, where there would be some increased flow, via spray bars, and the bottom half would remain low-flow. In general, most of the horses stay hitched at the bottom of the tank, but would the increased current be detrimental to them?

Seahorses have no problems dealing with medium to high flow areas as long as they have hitching provided in the low and medium flow areas.
They shouldn't have areas where they might be "blasted" against something if they happen to stray into a very high flow output.

Thanks, rayjay, no blasting going on ;) Looking for just enough movement to keep the corals happy.
