T5 fixture users with sps .... How do you or often clean acrylic sheilds and

I know it's kinda a random question I have 4 anti sunpowers over my tank the acrylic sheids I wipe down as much as possible but still get some spray and salt creep ... I'm new to t5 and just curious how u guys clean them or how far I can let them go and still be safe this can apply I guess to any lighting

I clean the shield weekly just wipe with damp paper towels. The longer u let the salt sit and bake on the harder it is to get off.

Not frequently enough. Whenever I have to take the fixture down to move things around in the tank, usually every few weeks. I have three fixtures above a 360G tank, and since I don't have a lot of head space I have to remove at least one, sometimes two, to manoever.

When needed no real schedule...I'd say once a month. RO water and a clean towel.

I have glass lids, and I only clean those once every other week or so. own a PAR meter and so far I haven't noticed a difference of more than 10 PAR.

I clean twice monthly. Sometimes earlier if I outside extra salt spray. Mŷ fish can be right jerks sometimes and splash feeding times.

Once every two weeks I use a damp paper towel with warm water on it and then a dry towel to while that down.

My light is 8" off the tank currently. When I had it on its legs and only 4" high I was wiping it down every week. So it all depends on how much splashing your getting.
