Yup, I meant tank and now you tell me you have two dogs. Boyfriend will most certainly need a second job.
I always recommend 10 gallons per pound of dog, but most dogs don't take well to me mentioning "pound".

I think this makes your decision to go to DVM school easier.

I agree that with you 100% Im in my second year of a Mechanical Engineering course and it sucks up so much of my spare time with all the studying that comes with it. My tank maintenance has been lacking quite a bit lately. Like you said, Water top ups and feeding is all I have been able to manage as well since school started a few weeks ago. It so bad I even have to leave in a few minutes to go to school and write an exam on a Saturday, and on top of that its my birthday and I have to spend a couple of hours with a Prof. instead of my family. Man do I ever hear ya. I graduated with my Bio Sci BS in may and that last semester it felt like I was barely hangin on! I barely had the money to run the poor tank and just enough time for feeding and WC's
. As crazy as it was I find myself missing the coursework, esp the physiology & micro classes (the ones that took ALL my time!).I'm very glad I was able to land something (unrelated to bio) that lets me run a tank but I wish I could go back for more. I must be a sucker for punishment or somethin. Maybe once I get the wife outta school I'll go for a teachin cert and then start chippin away @ a MS (or do I do the MS 1st and Teach @ a JC?).

just don't teach in California--the terminator was asking for several billions of dollars yesterday from the bail out bill to pay back wages owed to teachers.:eek2:

Well I am glad to hear things are going well! I just guess I'm lucky and my degree can actually be done online. I mean come on...IT... it would be silly if the IT degree couldn't be finished via the internet. Now you biology people, I don't think you can download a frog yet.

This one is my favorite. It helped me through my zool220a which was every bit as difficult as medical physiology :mad2:. Come to find out that instructor (nice guy MEAN tests) retired and they've completely wussified (well maybe just made it appropriate for undergrads) the required invertebrate coursework.

I did science (then arts) in Uni way back, and all I can remember is everything I put in my gob tasted of formaldehyde. It would linger till dinner time!
Thank God we didn't waste our money on food, books or stationary.

I dunno i think that the formalin smell sticks on your clothes longer. One dissection in that and you can smell it all day! (the shark was especially bad! 
) Maybe its been too long since I've worked on something preserved in formaldehyde but I don't remember the smell lingering so bad. Of course the not getting cancer from it thing might make up for the longevity

Just don't spill it into your privates. Formalin solutions deaden nerve sensitivity, which is why I need pills.
