Continu to post update, I'am very captivate by this thread.
See ya. David

LOVE THIS PRIMER!!!

sooo that being said, i picked up a trio of red tails from pacific island aquatics and have been a emotional wreck since yesterday morning! but as of now i have seen all three fish swimming, the largest female laid on her side "dying for almost 24 hrs" I held her in my hand by the return so she could get fresh flow......and now is swimming around, her name is Phenix , of the 2 smaller females , one is schooling with phenix, the other is MIA- hoping she turns up happy panda
I added 2500 pods yesterday and will supplement as needed. going to try real food tonight .
I have read this primmer and will follow suit

Wanna give love to every one who has been there before !

Does anyone here own anampses caeruleopunctatus?

I'm kind of worried about their size, they are supposed to reach 15 inches but I have never seen an adult.

The one my lfs has doesnt look like any of the pics I can find online. It's baby blue with a red anal fin.

Like this one but, blue.

i have had two of them , one only survived a few weeks and the other i had for three and a half years and sold due to him eating my euphyllias . he is still alive four years later and about seven inches after a total of 7 years of captive life . he is doing very well to this day and is now with corals ,pretty much leaving them alone . much to my dismay as he ate a half dozen heads off a couple of my torches years ago .

I have a powder blue that eats torches. I don't think I'm gonna take the caeruleopunctatus.

Really like this thread, I picked a tamarin red tail yesterday. Store just got her a couple days ago and was eating mysis, she is a very picky eater in my tank. Picks a few things out of rods food , mysis and really like the instant ocean marine blend. Two days in the books though and seems good.

A little worried, my tamarind side fin is has a bunch of red on it it like blood vessels. Not sure about this, hopefully goes away

I picked up another red tail, now I have two females and one male.

But it's so small, the cutest thing ever. It seems to have befriended my twistii.

It is really small (notice the twistii on the left, never far away)
