We just got our first shipment of live rock but we are really inexperienced. We emailed Richard and asked about the hitch hikers and he said they all work together to make a happy tank, Leave them be unless you see them causing a problem. So we decided to put all the hich hikers in, but a few, and were wondering if we could get some opinionson them.
Whelks~ we have a half dozen of them. Would they eat barnicles/clams?
flatworms~ have a couple of them.good/bad? guessing bad.
Are there any worms we should be concerned about?
The rock was great. It had so much life to it and it was very porous with tons of holes tunnels and caves. We will post some pics as soon as possible. We got five big rocks and they were covered with sponges and had really pretty pink looking coral. Right now we have about 4 buckrts and 2 tubs of hitchhikers we were not sure about so please post opinions. They have either been in the shipping box or buckets since saterday because our salinity wasn't right so they had to stay in our living room till sunday. Please respond quickly so we can get them in the tank if they are good, they have had a hard trip. We also got a lime neon green mantis shrimp 1/2 inch long. We don't want it to die in the bucket before we can give it to the lfs. do we feed it? thank you.
