Tang getting beat up

I would definitely try an acclimation box. Purple Tangs can be mean buggers, so you might not need to do more than that to get him established without further bloodshed.

Would be curious what the 16 tangs are - sounds like a really nice tank!

Agreed... :) There better be a Naso in there ;)

This is what I was wondering too :) I was asking more out of personal curiosity than anything! Would love to see pictures.
 
Sorry can't answer this for you but it's a great question.

I just added a purple tang and naso the other day and my sailfin was beating the purple up pretty bad. I removed the sailfin and really don't want to sell him but the tank he's in now is not at all big enough.

Can you really remove the aggressor/ aggressors and reintroduce them? No matter the tank size.

This post isn't real...not once has the poster said what size tank??!! 75% of this thread is about if the tank size matters and he not once has said..guys its a xxx gal. I call bluff..the answers are very elusive

It seems like you already know what you're doing so why are you asking a question like this? My 9 year old knows that a new fish will get a beat down for a while ...
