Tang selection and QT

I have a 6', 155 gallon tank and I'm nearing the end of fish stocking. The tank has been up about 8 months. I want to add one or if possible two tangs to finish off. Current tankmates 2 black ocellaris, 6 wrasse, royal gramma, flameback angel and Watanabei angel.

My desire is to add a A. nigracans and A coelureus. Are those two compatable in this size tank? Would one of those and one bristle tooth of some type be better or should I just stick with one tang?

Second question. I have found 2-2 1/2" specimens of both desired tangs. Could they be QT'd together or QT separately (I have two QT tanks) and add at the same time?

bristletooth would be better for certain as tang of the same genus can get edgy. I've always wanted an atlantic blue tang as well, but steered myself away from them with my 6' 125 for size constraints and tales of aggression. Always keep in mind smaller tanks can bring out aggression.

The goldrim is a great fish however, it may work out in the end. I personally would set up both QT tank and see if they get along, if there is fighting put one in the other tank.

Is the Atlantic Blue just aggressive with other tangs or does it extend to other fish (like my Genicanthus angel).

I may just have to choose between the two. I could be very happy with a bristle tooth if I could ever find a C. flavicauda. NYC had some a while ago but I wasn't quite ready to add my tangs then.

My wife laughs at me when I describe my tank as a smaller one but with these fish it is.

Yeah they are hard to get. I like the blue spotted, striated, and tominis alot too though. Half the things ive read say they can get pretty nasty, but thats all tangs. I've never kept one cause I got chicken.

I've never had any luck keeping multiple Acanturus tangs, but I have 125's so I only tried one and by accident. I kept a lavender, tomini, and black tang for a year and a half until the lavender got attacked by a giant eunice worm. There is no aggression between my black and tomini.

I agree that a goldrim would work well in your tank, and to pass on the Atlantic blue. They get huge. The C. flavicauda would be really nice if you want to wait for one, but I like chevrons, two spot, and blue spot bristletooth tangs as well.
