Tang Tank

Are these fish/inverts compatable and reef safe? I am going to start a huge tank with almost only tangs. Also what tank size would you need? I have no limit to tank size.
And what other cleaner crew could you put in this? Like feather dusters or lettuce slugs.

Blue Tang
Tomini Tang
Convict Tang
Lieutenant Tang
Naso Tang
Orangeshoulder Tang
Sailfin Tang
Kole Yellow Eye Tang
Chevron Tang
Purple Tang
Mimic Lemon Peel Tang
Achilles Tang
Blue Stripe Clownfish
Midas Blenny
Bubble Tip Anemone Maxima Clam
Dwarf Hermit Crab
Scarlet Reef Hermit Crab
Halloween Hermit Crab
Electric Blue Hermit Crab

yes, feet.
1400gallons
tangs and clams are compatible, cant comment on hermits

i dont think you need a height of 4ft, could get away with 3ft

Make sure you put the clowns in last if your dealing with Tangs. Also, you MUST get a ultraviolet sterilizer because of how ich and other disease prone tangs are. Good luck, sounds awesome

your looking at a very large. 1200 would be comfortable. Id like to inform you that your 55 gallon tank is not maxed out, and have room for a few fish and possibly a dwarf angel.

UV sterilizes are not terribly effective when it comes to ich. Not introducing ich to the display through good QT procedures and possibly prophylactic treatment would be the best course of action.

What's your budget? You are looking at around $10,000 + for just the tank. Also the UV sterilizer comment is totally bogus if you properly QT ALL fish then there will be no ich in the tank, also UV does next to nothing to combat ich.

I would go to your LFS and ask them about a custom manufactured tank. They should function as a distributor for custom aquariums. It is good to go through them because some tank manufactures will only function as wholesalers, and many times the tank and stand are made by different manufactures. The LFS can give you manufactures which they trust and deal with. You could also go directly to the manufactures but you will most likely deal with several different companies that might not work well together such as a tank manufacture, stand manufacture, and installer. Your LFS will also likely have tanks made by the manufacture in the shop for you to look at them in person.

I absolutely do not agree with this. UV will not solve the ich problem within a single tank.

I am going to get a 2000 gallon tank from a custom tank company with custom coral inserts. I will post what fish and inverts are going in there in a minute.

will tangs eat inverts? ex:shrimp, crabs, snails, cukes, etc. And will a bubble tip anemone eat a tang or midas blenny?

I hope your floor can withstand the weight of a 1400 gallon tank unless it's going in the basement family room/man cave/fish room. If not, you may need to add more support beams to handle the weight of the tank.

No offense, but you want to setup a $15,000 minimum tank, and you don't already know weather tangs are reef/invert safe? This thread smells of troll.
