Tangs from persian gulf

Hi
I want to buy a group of tangs of persian gulf
I need some help
can I keep 5 purple tang in my tank? can i Add more than 2 sohal tang or clown tang? all the fishes are about 6 cm
my tank is about 250 gallon and 200 cm lenght

If not no clown tangs, and sohal tangs are a no go together not to mention the aggression issues that arrise. Also multiple purple tangs are going to fight in a 250g

You could do a group of the purple tangs in the tank you mentioned, I had two in a 180g years ago. The Sohal will kill all of the other tangs and gets too big for your tank anyway as well as the clown tang

would need a massive tank to keep 2 sohals together, like min 1,000 gallons...danfeig has 2 in his beast of a tank as did dca22anderson...here is a link of the 2 in dca's tank...

+1. A lot of the tangs in that tank have a long way to go before reaching their full size. Once they do, that tank will look pretty scary.

i once put two purple in my 7ft 180G...they fought for first week until both injured...tolerated each other for next three months...then all hell broke loose again....i needed to remove one...it was during my early days of fishkeeping and a lesson well learned...:wavehand:

I once saw someone try 5ish Yellow Tangs. It didn't work out too well, in a 2000 gallon tank. I figured if any tank could handle it, it was that one.

Eventually wound up with 3
Sooner or later there was one bullied.

though i heard yellow tangs do behave well for some period(2-3 years) in large (1000G+) tanks...then suddenly all start to attack the weakest one until it dies....then they regroup and go after next weakest..the process go on..though never seen it in videos...:blown:

Yea, stayed there for a few years. I don't think a single one of that group is still left.
