Tangs - What other household food can they eat?

Currently I have been feeding him dried norie sw from the local grocery stores, but it seems like they have all quit ordering lately. My question is what else "green" will they munch on?

Thanks,

spinach, lettuce, honestly I would search at your pet stores for nori, make sure it has a high spirulina content. that is where all the nutrients come from

make sure the nori you get is all natural, there are some hidden nasties in the store bought ones. but i agree with stykthyn lettuce or spinach is good, or silverbeet ( different type of spinach)

Lettuce, spinach, etc. or very poor nutritionally for Tangs as they all contain a high amount of undigestable cellulose. Buy nori, ocean nutrition formula 2 flake, new life spectrum pellets, etc.

Tangs are very metabolically active and need a good, varied diet.

SO far I am actually feeding both of the pet store foods you suggested, but wanted to give him something healthier.:p

I always like to feed emerald entree as well. it kind of like an omnivor slurry. mysis and greens all mixed up

I feed my fish Nori along with Fresh frozen Peas (Thawed) & Fresh frozen Broccoli (Thawed). My Trigger, Filefish & even Lions love the Peas thawed.

Thaw the Peas just like you would your food, Drop 1-2 in at a time, I clip the broccoli in my Nori clip.

Have you checked out the Asian groceries? The ones around here practically have a whole aisle devoted to the stuff.

I have used bananas also, I only give it in small chunks, I found they can be messy. I have also tried orange slices, they loved it but another messy food.
