Tank - Is this a bad idea??

So me and my wife are looking to making a dedicated tank to seahorses as I've moved my sps habit into a new sleek slimline tank, we have a 6' 150g tank sitting around, is this a horrible idea? She use to keep erectus in a 30g years ago

The seahorses will LOVE it. You'll hate the overall cost of enough to make use of all the tank though. You should have no problem with about 20 standard sized seahorses in that size tank.
You'll go nuts with all the fry you get though.

macroalgae is what he/she meant - Various species of macroalgae would allow for the SH to have a natural place to hitch.

I have 8 seahorses in a 120g, it is enough for me I think. At some point to many is to many.

I keep several macro algaes too, they are fun and a nice filter.

That would be an amazing tank for pipefish as well! you may even be able to put a clear acrylic divider with many holes drilled in it or a screen divider so you can have both SH and PF!!!!
