Tank leak for the new year? Nope just DA move for 2012!

Well i managed to leak out about 3gls out of the 12gl nano i built for Celia last night. I heard the power head slurping and then a faint cry "daddy" being whispered from he room at about 3:45 this morning. I walk in to step in water so I unplugged everything and got towels. At 1st I thought it was leaking so I carried it to the tub cleaned the floor and tucked her back in bed. at further inspection this morning I found I forgot to put the hose clamp on the return pump so when it popped off it was shooting water straight up and splashing over the side. Lesson learned, always double check fittings on a new tank! Hope everyones night was as eventfull but in a better way! lol

It's good to get the first stupid move over with early. That's just one less you have to worry about for the rest of the year. I'm glad it was something simple. My first stupid nice is still lying in wait. It can't be too far out though. Haha.

yes, but 3gls was 25% of the tank volume! lol on the second floor which drains down. House is close to 100 years old so when I spill water downstairs it drains to under the house in only a couple of minutes. lol Drafty when its windy but I like the house despite its age. We call it character.
