Tank Mates for BSJ?

My two Blue Spot Jawfish are still doing good and are still at their usual hole swapping game. The larger has gotten quite fat, while the other has stayed more slender and smaller. On the next Peco dollar sale I plan to get them a 55 or larger and especially longer and taller tank (fits nicely in our entrance area where it stays always cool. My wife wanted a tank there before for feng shui, so I will happily comply :D)

Though with just those two all alone it will be a pretty empty tank, so I'm looking for some suitable tank mates.

I'm wondering if it is a good idea to put to put BSJ together with Catalina Gobies.
For once they come from different temperature zones, BSJ from subtropical to tropical waters of Sea of Cortez, Catalina Gobies from the temperate waters of Southern California.
The other issue could be that the BSJs confuse the gobies with a tasty snack.

The other fish I had in mind are East Pacific Barnacle Blennies.
They are a bit larger and less likely to be taken for food (faster than Catalinas too). Though they are fully tropical and may not like the cooler temeratures during the winter. At least the ones I have right now didn't like it much when I kept the heater off for the 3rd BSJ (R.I.P).

I would prefer fish and inverts from the Sea of Cortez, but those are near impossible to find (besides the angels P. zonipectus, H. passer & H. clarionensis).
I really would love a pair of the local flagtail pipefish (Doryrhampus paulus), but again, near impossible to get.

So would you add the Catalina Gobies or Barnacle Blennies?
What alternative, suitable fish and inverts would be easily available?

I really like the hulafish, but it seems ORA isn't offering them anymore (or at least not at the moment).
